In today’s modern world, it is discussed whether children should receive home-schooling education or not. My thinking on this matter is that unless parents do not have any financial power to send their sons/daughters to school, neither institutional help they should send their children to school. Below, the following essay will demonstrate arguments against home-schooling from an intellectual and social perspective.

Parents at home do not have expertise in all the fundamental courses. Even though one of the parents could be prepared to teach diverse classes, it is impossible to have a vast knowledge of all of them. On the contrary, schools hire instructors with expertise in a specific topic. They are able to foster knowledge with more effective methods. Additionally, schools are usually preparing curriculums based on future academic and professional needs; For instance, it is commonly believed that in less than five years the professional market will increase with trilingual individuals. Therefore, academic institutions are working hard to have a curriculum that could respond to their future needs.

From a social perspective, home-schooling decreases the social skills that a child can acquire in school. By learning at home parents delay the evolution of diverse interpersonal skills such as leadership, teamwork, empathy, and more. The opportunity to play with kids of the same age and interact with others under different circumstances develops understanding and increases the awareness of different views. Unfortunately, home-schooling can create an optical bubble that could be dangerous during a grown-up life. Following this further, schools offer events and activities that are significant during childhood.

In conclusion, schools offer a better overall educational experience. Besides, if a child does not go to school will miss out on activities, practices, and numerous interactions that could boost crucial interpersonal skills.
