#IELTS The rising levels of congestion and air pollution found in most of the world cities can be attributed directly to the rapidly increasing number of private cars in use. To reverse this decline in the quality of life in cities, attempts must be made to encourage people to use their cars less and public transport more.
As cross-cultural awareness of environmental challenges grows, actions must be taken to build a better environmental future. Below the following essay will discuss two ways to encourage the use of public transport, which are education and infrastructure.
Firstly, education is vital in any environmental campaign. To encourage the use of public transportation, citizens from the nation affected by pollution must understand the reasons behind the decision. A well-educated country can collaborate efficiently in the development of a country. Education could be accomplished using media to broadcast awareness of the importance of using public transportation. Additionally, the internet and several communication devices can be used to capture diverse audiences. To illustrate the importance of education during a pollution awareness campaign, a recent study made by the environmental team at the University of British Columbia found that, well above fifty percent of citizens in developing countries accepted that they would be collaborating more with their environment, after receiving information from the impact that the humankind is producing in their ecological ecosystem.
Secondly, education to encourage the use of public transportation is nothing, if the country promoting environmental-friendly actions does not have the infrastructure to make it feasible. Unfortunately, numerous countries must improve their transportation system, before trying to make it attractive. Well-designed roads for bikes, clean access to subways, safety guarantee, and fast-moving transportation options can increase motivation in city and town dwellers. Numerous towns in the United States are the perfect epitome when it comes to an effective transportation system. Having an effective public transportation system, numerous citizens rather use alternative ways to go to places and consequently save more money.
In conclusion, education and infrastructure are two significant factors to obtain the response wanted from the citizens in a country.
Idea 1 education is vital in any environmental campaign.
Idea 2: education to encourage the use of public transportation is nothing, if the country promoting environmental-friendly actions does not have the infrastructure to make it feasible.
