Will the Internet Bring People of the World Closer Together? #IELTS
As cross-cultural awareness of the internet as a global phenomenon grows, there is an increasing debate about whether the internet helps to bring people of the world closer or not. My thinking on this matter is that thanks to the use of the internet citizens of the world have access to opportunities that were difficult to acquire before, and social apps are collaborating to create a trend that is taking communication to another level. Below, the following essay will extend some arguments in favor of the internet.
Nowadays and worldwide, people have academic and professional opportunities that were not possible before due to the old-fashioned communication systems. Today, universities post online their academic opportunities and companies around the world their job openings. Every entity’s website has a similar structure which includes contact information. By doing just one click and typing their inquiries people have immediate access to international messages from their comfort zone. This global phenomenon is highly productive for academic and professional growth; As an illustration, the Canadian Express Entry is the perfect epitome. To clarify, Express Entry is an immigration program that is looking for professionals around the world to live in Canada. The program is based on points such as academic and professional. Citizens from developing countries are usually interested in continuing their lives in a developed country. Thanks to the internet citizens from countries of less wealth have access to obtain employment and academic opportunities, without traveling abroad or having an expensive communication bill on their phones.
Another argument in favor of the internet bringing people around the world closer together is that online social apps are created for global use. Thus, people are using the same apps worldwide. Thanks to some world-famous apps such as Instagram, Facebook or Twitter lifetime friends keep connected. As grown-ups life changes, some people move to other countries, others stay in the same country but in another province or state and, here is where social apps play an important role; For instance, just by simply adding a friend on Facebook, the platform will give access to their location, direct messages, and, important personal events.
In conclusion, we are living in a communication era where the internet is the main character. Thanks to user-friendly technological applications families and friends keep connected. Additionally, the digital ecosystem has been a powerful driver of academic and professional opportunities. Because diverse websites allow easy access to contacts that were difficult in the past.
Idea 1: Nowadays and worldwide, people have academic and professional opportunities that were not possible before due to the old-fashion communication systems.
Idea 2: Online social apps are created for global use.
